Why Parents Should Participate in Mass-Vaccination Campaigns

Why Parents Should Participate in Mass-Vaccination Campaigns

Yes, you read that right! Routine immunisation ke baad bhi you should get the child vaccinated at the time of mass campaigns. Campaigns ka aim hota hai to prevent transmission by trying to eliminate it as much as possible. Isiliye large quantity mein logo ko vaccinate karte hai. Ismein individual participation is equally necessary, if not more, kyunki participation ke bina campaign ka koi use nahi hai. It can be successful through participation only.

Here are a few of the most important reasons why we need to participate in mass vaccination campaigns…

  1. Immunity Boosting Bohut baar it happens ki routine dose mein full immunity develop nahi hoti, ya over time immunity reduce ho jaati hai. In such cases this second dose, at the time of mass-campaign, helps in boosting immunity against diseases.
  1. Herd Immunity Herd immunity ka matlab hai immunity for the entire community. Most diseases spread from one child to another. When all children get vaccinated together, all develop resistance to the disease once again, protecting the entire community! (Even less privileged ones jin bachon tak vaccine nahi pahuch paati)
  1. Overcoming Vaccine Failure Sbse effective vaccines mein bhi there is a 2%-5% chance of failure. Number sirf dekhne mein chota lagta hai, in effect, it can be very harmful. Isiliye a second dose at the time of mass campaign can help ensure double safety for your child.

Mass campaigns, and participation in mass campaigns is very important, kyuki yeh poori community ke babies ke liye ek safety net hai.

Rahi baat saturation ki, toh saturation ki tension nahi leni chahiye. God has blessed humans with a wonderful immune system. Hamara immune system ek saath millions of alag alag antigens ko identify kar sakta hai aur antibodies develop kar sakta hai. Vaccines ko count krne ki jagah we should count the number of diseases we need to protect our child against using the vaccines!
